Too short and I have nothing to say.
Still searching around for any significance to the name of the ship, being Claymore. So far coming up with a scottish two-edged broadsword and manga series. Pretty sure one of those doesn’t belong here. Maybe there is no meaning to the name Claymore and it is literally just that, a name, but since this is Hugo we’re reading I’m inclined to believe there’s more to it.
Valdsbejakande said that General Peasant is clearly the Scarlet Pimpernel, which if it isn’t canon it needs to be, because yes please, but the whole English man pretending to be someone else on a boat clearly heading towards France reminds me an awful lot of a reversed Charles Darnay on a ship to England. I keep half expecting the English equivalent of John Barsad to come out and accuse General Peasant of smuggling military plans across the border.
And then we end on a cliffhanger…hmm.
